Actually the tracts you have that have verses are all hte positive ones that do not talk about the Hell issue, and those are good too, Japanese need real simple stuff, and the unsaved who have no Bible or Christian background need it spoon fed so those real simple things that major on the love and grace of God are good I think. At 12:31am on March 11, 2009, Chazz Eddie Borjas said…: Thanks, Dean. I checked out and read some of the Japanese text but it seems they still are translating "fire of the Ages" as "eternal fire" using the word in Japanese "eien" which means eternal.
Also they are using "eternal punishment" and in the Japanese the difference between age lasting punishment and eternal punishment is not clarified. As a matter of fact, they are using terminology that translates back into the English language as "punishment without limit"
I think this might confuse a lot of people who might read this, and wonder what the difference is.
I am working on something to clarify this difference..but it is time consuming...you see, the Japanese do have a concept of ages, but there is little in their language to explain it. And the Japanese Bibles do not support UR.
What I think is that we need a totally new Bible in Japanese that is UR friendly. Maybe I will work on one.Thanks a lot, all the best,
