Why does Satan cease to be when thrown to the Lake of Fire?

When a person realizes that Satan is not a being, but a spirit; and although spirits are described with anthropomorphic features, they are not living beings. Therefore knowing what Satan is, solves the question of why Satan can be thrown into the Lake of Fire and never come out of it; Satan means "Adversary" and once God is all in all, there is no adversary any longer, only God, and God is family.

The Purpose ETERNAL PUNISHMENT: The truth of AIONIOS KOLASIS. PART 2

Question: "Is it to open the eyes of the unbeliever or to pay for the sins? If it is to pay for the sins themselves then doesnt that negate the work of Christ since He(Christ) paid the price for the sins of every man.Why is the unbeliever being punished for his sins which Christ died for?

Answer:
It is to open the eyes of the unbeliever. Therefore there is no "If" concerning payment of sin or punishment for sin.

The problem is what you think sin is and it is an unfortuna… Continue

The Purpose ETERNAL PUNISHMENT: The truth of AIONIOS KOLASIS.

Question: What is the purpose of the eonian punishment of the unbeliever?

Answer:
The actual Greek Phrase is: AIONIOS KOLASIS which literally means, "correction until perfection".

There is only two places KOLASIS appears in Scripture, the first time is in Matthew, the second time is in 1 John and these are the vital clues needed to understand what it means.

1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with KOLASIS… Continue

The Purpose ETERNAL PUNISHMENT: The truth of AIONIOS KOLASIS. PART 3

Question: Could you tell me what the Life,Death and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ did in terms of salvation for the person who dies without believing in Christ? (and not for the ones who believed in Christ)

Answer:
Nothing and Everything.

A person does not know what he does not know. So for the unbeliever who knows not, the Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ in terms of salvation means nothing. The unbeliever is not one who does not not know who Jesus is, and there… Continue

Life Lessons: Sober Judgment.

Several years ago, we received a new neighbor and the our dogs barking at around noon constantly kept him up. This man, it seemed, worked night shifts and the dogs were keeping him away during the day and he had reached his patience limit and probably sleep deprived. His emotional temperance was low and he was angry and he was going to do something about it.

On this fortunate day, it was my roommate, a chubby 5'5" balding french man, who answered the door. My neighbor, a massive 6'3" body build… Continue

About Me
Hello Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I am Craig Nolin, a biblical Christian universalist with and a minister of the Gospel out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

In the beginning, I have always known the Lord. He is, and has been. Whereas most people as children advance interests in sports, games, television, cartoons, and other things, from the age of four I had desired the promise of Solomon and to know the ways of the Lord after being visited by our Lord Jesus.

My desire therefore, has always been for the knowledge of the Truth because the Truth sets people free. Though through a long life of study and revelation through the Holy Spirit, I discovered the cost of such freedom is painful for many.

You can read more about my testimony at www.studentoftheword.com and thanks for checking out my bio on wisefire.tv!

Hope to speak to you soon!

Craig

P.S. The Gospel is not Universal Salvation, the Gospel is LOVE and you are a reconciled Child of God being prepared for bigger and greater things.

Hi Craig! I've made a 'discussion' about 1 samuel (though I think I put it in the wrong 'group'...I was a little confused) but I was wondering if you would read it. I have so many questions, and no real outlet for them. (except prayer, of course...and God has answered SO many of my questions...but He always takes so long! ;) I appreciate your love for the Bible and your study of it, and so any wisdom you can impart I would be very glad for! I was pretty disappointed by the one comment I got, as you will see if you read it. If you could give me a better resourse for asking biblical questions, I'd appreciate that as well. Thanks!

No, I don't have anyone who really understands what I believe and why. I have wonderful Christian friends who try very hard to be supportive. I have two who actually read Hope Beyond Hell. (at my pleading) But the weird thing is, they just don't understand what the big deal is. It doesn't matter to them what 'eternal' means; the idea of eternal hell just doesn't bother them; but at the same time they are very open to the idea that it doesn't mean eternal. In many ways the anger of my sister made more since to me than the indifferance of my friends (and husband too); I just couldn't wrap my brain around not seeing the importance of this revelation. It took me a very long time to finally except that only God could 'open their eyes', and that I couldn't judge them because they can't see. But your right, it doesn't mean I will always be silent and never try to help them see. But I need God to reveal to me the truth of my heart motives in doing that...and they are not always good. When my heart is purified, I think I will have more opportunites. Thanks for your input.

Bennifits of being silent...yes, silence is a virtue not often glorified in Christianity, is it? Ironically, before I believed in UR, I never wanted to talk about my faith...and felt terrible guilt for it. Now, all I want to do is talk about it, but I know that I can't. This morning a good friend (one of the few who doesn't know my beliefs...I'm guess I'm not good at slience ;) called and said she was going to see a non-believer friend who was moving away. She said "it makes me so sad knowing she doesn't know the Lord, and probably never will. And then she'll have to spend eternity in hell'...and I said nothing. I want to open her eyes SO BAD...she grew up dutch reform and has tremendous scars as a result. But that's exactly why I have to be so careful; and your right...God will let me know when the time is right. I just had so much conflict this morning wanting to call her right back and tell her everything, and I almost had myself convinced it was my fear holding me back, and that was sin, so I should be brave and spill my guts. But that guilt is really born out of my old beliefs...that's it's my 'responsibility' to save people...and that way of thinking very often has it's roots in pride, don't you think? As if God just can't manage without my help. But your encouragment really helps me be patient, and continue to trust. Thank you.

Hello Craig,
I'm wondering if you could give me some advice. I often struggle with telling people what I believe...and it's so hard to know my motivation in keeping silent. When I first came to believe in UR, I was ESTATIC and couldn't wait to tell the people closest to me. I knew they would be sceptical, but I couldn't even imagine in my wildest dreams that once they saw the evidence they would continue to believe in an eternal hell. When that didn't happen, and I finally understood they were NOT going to believe in UR no matter how much I babbled at them---well it was crushing beyond words. Now I have a certain amount of peace knowing only God can reveal this truth to them...and I understand I have to be very careful and listen to the Holy Spirit as to when and what I'm to say. But as I'm sure you know...that's a lot easier said than done. It's easy for me to tell myself "God can bring that information to them if He wants...only He knows when they are ready to hear it and if I tell them too soon it may really end up causing problems" (meaning they will see me as a total wacko and we will never feel comfortable around each other again...like what happened with my sister and me) I know you are a pastor, so this is not so much your struggle...but I would appreciate any words of wisdom. Thanks!

Indeed Thomas. I believe too many people's assumptions of what we say here seems to get the true message lost in translation. As I said, the work is already finished, we are God's workmanship, we are His Children reconciled by Christ; but there are…

Everyone who chooses sin as their master, is a child of the devil. The word child is the same word as student (in a student/teacher) relationship. If we just let people 'be', we do a disservice to the gospel when that they may 'be' without knowing,…

Some are children of the devil, unless of course you disagree with Jesus or just don't consider Scripture as reflective of the truth. So saying 'just be' actually is a detriment and does not uphold reconciliation or grace.
February 21
No that is not what is about. If you be, and you continue to do wickedness, you will suffer for it. This is not about being, this is about changing; being good because that is what God created you to do. This 'just being' crap is just that.

Indeed Thomas, indeed.

Why people are so focused on 'believing' and 'salvation' beats me, as the Apostle James says, we should be living it being doers not just hearers. As Apostle Paul says, we were created to do good works; believing that doesn't produce good works, we…

Yes, Thomas, Most do not understand how to live by grace, it is from my experience that grace should have been the first and foremost thing ever taught to the believer because it makes life far more peaceful.
