Hello Ruthie The problem man has with understanding God, is his own ignorance. Jesus said that no one could tell you about God, but God himself. That is why Jesus came from God, and from heaven. He came to reveal himself, and God. So perspective i…

In the context of doing the works of God, one must "be to do, not do to be". Doing to be is trying to earn God's approval, which God does not accept. You must change first, and be equipped with the Holy Spirit, in order to do the works of the Spirit…

Hello Al

Based on our discussion on the Samuel thread, I've been looking into what you shared but I am still not able to grasp it for a couple of reasons. I believe you are saying that repentance is a one-time thing for the old man. My problem is then, why does our Lord in the message to the Church in Rev. 2 and 3 call for repentance? Thanks for anything further you can share on this.
